one couple's unexpected journey to parenthood


January – Married!

March – Began to chart my cycle using Fertility Awareness Method (FAM).


April – Had preconception appointment with midwife. Everything looked good!

July – Officially began trying to conceive (TTC)!


February – First positive pregnancy test!

March – My pregnancy ended in a very early miscarriage called a “chemical pregnancy”. We were devastated.

June – We moved cross-country!

July – Began our second year of TTC.

September – Had a consultation with a fertility clinic. Five days later I took a pregnancy test and it was positive!

October – My first prenatal appointment. We saw our baby’s heartbeat for the first time!

November – Second prenatal appointment, including NT Scan– heard heartbeat and saw our baby moving around! Shared our good news with the world.


January – Discovered our baby is a little girl!

May – Our daughter was born, two weeks early!
